My great friend Jack,
the sun may have set on the life within your body but as the sun will rise at the start of each new day you will forever live in our hearts and happy memories.
I shall look up to the night sky where a new star now shines in your honour.
You have been an inspiration,
God bless x.

Jack, I got to know you (and Mary and Wilf) on relief trips to Romania. What I came to love was a bloke who cared about those less fortunate than himself and his mates, who worked hard, was creative, a leader when needed, creative, funny, wore clogs and listened to The Bradshaws and so much more.
Jack, you will continue to be a role model, and will always remain a happy person in my memory.

People like you Jack aren\'t supposed to die early thats why it\'s such a shock. I hope they have at least a couple of songs from \"The Oldham Tinkers\" up there.

You were a big man with a big heart and an even bigger smile. You helped everyone you could and each and everyone of us respected you. You will be missed by your family and that bigger Police family we all are members of. Sleep Well
